Life as an international student involves a cycle of specific procedures that must be repeated every year to keep your stay in Russia legal, safe, and comfortable.

You need to renew your health insurance every year. This is a mandatory requirement for legal stay in the Russian Federation and for visa extension.
To arrange your insurance, contact the Center for Adaptation and Educational Work via Telegram (+7 902 966 13 60), through direct messages, or in the messages of the VK community.
Important: If you plan to pay for your insurance in cash, you need to visit the office in person: 82A Svobodny Prospekt, room 224/4. Office hours: Monday – Friday, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM (lunch break 12:30 PM – 1:00 PM).

The medical examination must be completed every year, and you must submit new certificates to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD) or the Multifunctional Migration Center (MMC). Meeting this deadline is each student's responsibility.
You must undergo a new medical examination and submit the results to the MVD/MMC within 30 days after your previous examination expires. You can find the expiration date at the bottom of your green medical certificate (the one with doctors' stamps).
Important: You cannot complete the medical examination later than the required period — such documents may be rejected by the MVD, and you may be fined.
After completing your repeat medical examination and receiving your new certificates, you must submit them to the Multifunctional Migration Center (79 Kalinina Street, 2nd floor).
Office Hours:
Monday – Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Friday: 8:30 AM – 4:15 PM
Required Documents:
Service fee: 900 rubles.
Important: The MMC will give you a certificate confirming that your documents have been accepted. Be sure to keep the original — you will need it later for extending your stay or your visa.

The visa extension process begins in 3-4 months (multiple visa).

To successfully enter Russia for your studies, your passport must be valid for at least 18 months at the time you receive your initial student visa.
Important: The responsibility for renewing your passport on time rests solely with you, the international student. You can do this by contacting your country's consulate in Russia or by returning to your home country.
Keep in mind that an expired passport makes it impossible to extend your visa, renders your stay in Russia illegal, and carries serious immigration consequences.
