Winners receive admission to a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral program, or a post-doc position at a leading Russian university. Over 6,000 international students have won in the past seven years.

If you hold a foreign citizenship and can confirm your status as a compatriot (a person with historical, cultural, or family ties to Russia), you have the same rights as Russian citizens when applying to state-funded places at Siberian Federal University.

How to confirm your status at the university
You do not need to obtain any special document in advance. Your status is verified directly by the university's Admissions Committee. To do so, you must submit documents (such as passports or birth certificates) or other evidence proving:
If your documents are in a foreign language, they must be translated into Russian. The translation must be notarized.
Important note
If you are a citizen of Azerbaijan (or any other foreign country) and you have documents confirming your compatriot status, you can apply to SibFU on a competitive basis and study for free! The only additional requirement is to provide proof of Russian language proficiency or complete Russian language courses at our university.
