International students are eligible for specific benefits. First-year undergraduate students from CIS countries who are state-funded can receive compensation for their travel expenses to the university as well as reimbursement for their voluntary health insurance policy. Students from non-CIS countries who were admitted under a Rossotrudnichestvo quota may qualify for scholarships.
Siberian Federal University is home to The Pre-Admission Department for International Students. This department provides international students with the opportunity to prepare for admission to SibFU and other Russian universities by studying the Russian language and specialized subjects in their chosen academic field.
The university's international strategy is supported by major industry partners. Our students have the opportunity to intern at the facilities of key industrial partners, including Rosneft, RUSAL, and Nornickel, as well as to participate in startup competitions and accelerator programs.
In addition, the university is actively expanding its international academic partnerships in the natural sciences, humanities, and engineering.
